Listening to interviews this morning with three of Tiger Woods mistresses I once again pondered (as I have on many an occasion lately) about sex addiction.
The interview was held on Today FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show (my fave) and three of the women who slept with Tiger Woods’ were asked an abundance of inappropriate questions ranging from abortion to multiple orgasms. I can only imagine the ratings they received as they shot through the roof – everyone wanted to hear about it – it being the scandal of the year, second only in Australia ATM to the Melbourne Storm.
I just don’t buy it – it being the alleged sex addiction.
It has been said that the term “sexual addiction” is used to describe the behaviour of a person who has an unusually intense sex drive or an obsession with sex. Sex and the thought of sex tend to dominate the sex addict’s thinking, making it difficult to work or engage in healthy personal relationships.
This is quite a new scientific discovery – the analysis of this addiction.
Discoveries are made by scientists all the time and sometimes it appears they ‘discover’ things that become convenient for public figures to use so that they aren’t portrayed as guilty but simply as a wayward person who is pleading for help – yeah whatever.
There is no such thing as a sex addiction – to be honest I think many claimed ‘addictions’ are a crock load of shit – addictions are an easy was for people to admit they are weak.
Do people truly believe that ‘one needs to come’ at such a frequent basis that they cheat on the partners? Nuh uh NO WAY would that ever fly with me. Maybe I should just claim Tourette’s syndrome – then I would be able to tell fat people to go for a jog without being terribly offensive.
Tiger Woods is simply this – a weak man with no morals who thinks he is above the rules of society. “I am the world’s best golf player thus I can sleep with whomever I want?” I don’t think so buddy – when are people going to realize that they CANT buy their cake and eat it to AKA you HAVE TO choose – do you want to be a player (which is fine) and have fun, go out, drink with mates and sleep with countless women? OR do you want to settle down with a wife and kids. You can’t have both and these egotistic, pricks need to realize this unless they want to die a very lonely old man. (And in Tigers case disease ridden as its apparent he wasn’t too fond of the rubber sheaf)
With anything there are valid points to any side of an argument – this clip shows people in rehab for sex addiction. I think its bullshit. Let me know what you think.
Have a great weekend
