Love That Red

Everything You Need to Know

The ‘Lollypop’

As I was being shown to my seat yesterday for a lovely lunch I couldn’t help but notice an extremely elegant looking girl sitting on the table next to me – I then realized that it was none other than Australia’s Jodi Gordon with her current BF Braith Anasta – And she was totally sporting the seemingly trendy ‘lollypop’ look.

The lollypop is that look that women get when they become that emaciated that their head looks abnormally big compared to their tiny little frames.

Now don’t get me wrong; Jodi looked fantastic – Slim, toned, brown and glowing however I seriously could have snapped her protruding bones with my own puny fingers.

The lollypop has been around for quite some time;

It began with Mary-Kate Olsen’s bohemian decent into anorexia and was followed with many stars who similarly follow the BOHO trend AKA HUUUGGGEE sunnies, maxi dresses, long wavy tresses and loose clothes:

Stylist and fashion icon Rachel Zoé…

The Tragic Lindsay…

My fashion muse, Nicole Riche…

Other visible lollypops…..

I’m all for thin; slim, toned and taught = AMAZING! However when you are starting to resemble the Red Queen your head is appearing that big-

You know that something is wrong.

    Yeah, the way you talk about these women s bodies is wrong.
    You must learn about Body Acceptance, you don’t need to be rude to promote health.

      It’s an opinion piece douche. When someone clearly has an eating disorder and young girls are looking up to them I have every right to ‘be rude’. And its not health its lack thereof.

    It’s sad to see so many people struggling with unhealthy weight. People don’t realize how serious this problem is, thousands of people die every year. I am a pyschiatrist nurse and worked in the eating disorder program.
    Please seek professional help, there is amazing program in your community, talk to your family doctor. God bless!
