L’Occitane, Nivea and OPI – Bless Them
I know I usually give you 5-10 ‘must-haves’ in the product world but *gasps in shock horror I haven’t actually been trying many new things lately ☹
But here are 3 AMAZING must have prodz…
L’Occitan Red Rice Clarifying Rice Mask – The No.1 thing I loved about this mask was how gentle it is. Some lotions and potions I smear on myself leave horrid smells residing under my nose that I am expected to endure for 10-15 minutes. Hmpf. Well this prod is almost fragrance-free (but not in that weird clinical way) with a beautiful velvety texture. It’s recommended for combination to oily skin and its pretty perfect for problemo skin. Enriched with rebalancing zinc, red rice extract from Camargue, astringent red rice vinegar and powdered red rice, it leaves the skin pure and mattified.
QUICK TIP: Got a zit? (Oh sorry blemish.) Use as spot treatment! Simply apply directly on affected area after cleansing at night, and in the morning the little sucker should be gone.
RRP $39.95, call 02 8912 3000 for stockists.
NIVEA Body Rich Nourishing Body Lotion – Surprisingly good for back massages…but that’s another story. Nivea celebrated their 100th anniversary last week for good reason as not many prod brands can stick around that long in today’s competitive market. I love love love this cheap gem of a moistuiriser and find it nice smelling and luxuriously nourishing. It contains a unique blend of caring ingredients in a creamy formulation that is easily absorbed by the skin to help it look and feel healthy, soft and smooth. The formula contains Hydra IQ, an active ingredient technology that is able to stimulate the skin’s moisture network, activating hydration immediately for non-stop 24-hour moisturisation, that hydrates above and below the skin’s surface level. Yes please.
RRP $5.40+, available at supermarkets, pharmacies and department stores.
OPI ‘It’s Sheer Luck’ – Got a mani the other day and chose this colour. The mani was done pretty shoddy but I (you know… as per usual) did well with my color picking abilities. I needed something understated yet chic as my short black, chipped nails were not exactly appropriate for daily try-ons of 3-carrot diamonds. It’s a subtle nude with SLIGHT pinky undertones and NO (thank god) shimmer though there is plenty of shine.
RRP $19.95, available at David Jones and selected Nail Spas.
